Srednje Gameljne is a to the north of the capital Ljubljana in central Slovenia. It belongs to the Ljubljana Urban Municipality. It was part of the traditional region of Upper Carniola and is now included with the rest of the municipality into the Central Slovenia statistical region.[2]
The local church is dedicated to Saint Andrew and belongs to the Šmartno pod Šmarno goro parish. It dates to the second half of the 18th century.[3]
